Can someone provide a simple explanation of the function of these different modes? While I do understand the point of turbo mode and overclocking on CPU's, I didn't really understand that article. What do each of these turbo/boost modes mean (aside from disabled or enabled, those are pretty self explanatory)? How are they different from one another? Are there any that I should particularly avoid using? I found some documentation about it, but I'm not very knowledgeable about computers and that didn't make any sense to me. However, after I do this, the power plan settings provide 7 possible options for CPU turbo mode: I've read reports that this computer runs pretty hot, and the easiest way to solve that is by disabling turbo mode via this fix.
